Nebraska – 34.1% Obesity Rate
Nebraska was one of the states with high American obesity rates, and it was unfortunate that the percentage had been steadily increasing from 2013 to 2018. It was reported that more than one-third of Nebraska’s population was deemed obese, and the lack of policies within the state was apparent. It was evident that Nebraska had to make significant changes because the initiatives to create isolated programs for the residents was not enough.

Nevada – 30.6% Obesity Rate
Like the majority of Americans, people who lived in Nevada were suffering from obesity. It was unfortunate that the statistics were consistently increasing and yielded higher cases of diabetes and heart diseases. Several policies to fight obesity had been implemented throughout Nevada, but it seemed like it didn’t help much to lower the percentage. Nevada’s steps were to require higher nutritional value for the kids’ school lunches.
