Massachusetts – 25.2% Obesity Rate
The adult obesity percentage in Massachusetts slightly decreased between 2015 and 2016, which gave a ray of hope for the state. However, it was apparent that Massachusetts’ 25.2% obesity rate still posed a health risk for the residents. Thankfully, the state had acted and stepped up to remedy the situation. Massachusetts initiated goals for drinking water, increasing nutritional value, healthy dining, physical exercise, and others.

Minnesota – 30.1% Obesity Rate
Even though the obesity percentage in Minnesotan adults remained constant from 2018 to 2020, it did not mean that it was something to celebrate. As reported by the Department of Health, the state had a 30.1% obesity percentage, which meant that one out of three adults were obese. Looking on the bright side, Minnesota’s statistics were lower than the national average and the neighboring states – Dakota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
