New Hampshire – 31.8% Obesity Rate
New Hampshire was one of the worst states because two of three adults and more than 25% of the children were either overweight or obese. Looking at the bright side, the rate was consistent for the last five years, but the government, food industry, and the residents should act and reverse the dangerous trend. Despite the high percentage, 9% of New Hampshire adult residents had diabetes and other obesity-related diseases.

Even though New Jersey was ahead of the others, it did not mean that they had obesity under control. Similar to the ones previously mentioned, New Jersey was getting heavier. It was fortunate that the state decided to find a solution to solve the issue, and there were initiatives to improve the overall health of New Jersey’s residents. For 2020, New Jersey’s goal was to meet all of its several heath-centered objectives.
