Christiane Amanpour – $15 Million

Christiane Amanpour was born in Iran’s Tehran Province. She was sent to boarding school in England when she was 11 years old and then moved to the United States to pursue a career in journalism. Her career began in 1983 when she worked at CNN as a desk assistant. Because of her diplomatic experience, reporting on foreign relations came easily to her. Her first major story was about the Iran-Iraq War, which she covered extensively. However, it wasn’t until 1990 that she came to prominence due to her coverage of the Persian Gulf War, and she elevated CNN’s news coverage to new heights.
