One day, a man came to the shelter to adopt a dog. Then, he saw Merrill and knew right there and then that she was the one. Since he had passed through necessary documents, the day arrived for the man to pick up Merril. But when she was taken out of the enclosure, Taco was left alone. She started to howl and did not stop. The man didn’t know what was happening.

The guy was advised by employees about the story of Taco and Merrill, how the two became best friends and didn’t want to be separated. While the man understood and accepted that it was better for the dogs to stay together, sadly, he could not adopt them. Finally, he decided to take another puppy.
