The rescuers made sure to put on gloves so that they would not get their scent on the babies. They also laid out a sheet beside the sewer. The babies were going to be placed there to keep them out of harm!

The firemen went into the sewer and cautiously picked up one of the babies. The team was shocked to see just how tiny this animal was! When they put it on the sheet, the creature rolled about innocently.
