Forrest Gump (1994)
When it was released in 1994, Forrest Gump was acclaimed as a classic for its portrayal of the second half of the twentieth century through the eyes of the Baby Boomer generation. However, as the film has aged, its Boomer-centric perspective on issues ranging from the Vietnam War and peaceful protests to the Black Panther Party and the Aids epidemic (particularly the way the film treats Jenny) has become more minor and less acceptable, implying that any potential remake would have to significantly change things up.
