Stripes (1981)
‘Stripes’ is widely regarded as Bill Murray’s comic masterpiece by many comedy enthusiasts. However, it is highly doubtful that the film would be created today, owing to its wacky military shenanigans, ending in a phony “war” with the Soviet Union. A military comedy like that would almost certainly never gain significant studio backing in a post-9/11 environment.

Soul Man, released in 1986, was about a caucasian high school student, played by C. Thomas Howell, who began wearing blackface to seem like an African American to obtain a college scholarship available to Black kids.
