Things like this can get tricky very quickly. Even so, Katie didn’t let the complications get in the way; she loved Landon from the first time she met him. Even though she loved Landon, she constantly felt uneasy about her relationship with his mom, Casey. Katie and Jeremy had already been together for over a year and she was sure he was the person she wanted to spend her life with, so she made a real effort to get to know Casey more.

Though it was pretty risky, Katie still tried to befriend Casey. She knew there could be big repurcussions if she did this, but she still wanted to. If she said or did something wrong, there could be a lot of backlash for everyone. At first, Casey kept her distance from Katie because she was unsure of her intentions, but Katie was persistent, so eventually the two got together to get to know one another. Though it was weird at first, eventually the two got closer and developed a relationship.
