Working with the bus engine was one of the numerous challenges Talley encountered. He got trapped in the mud the first time he moved the bus, which destroyed the power steering. Talley stated that parking a 40-foot school bus without power steering was quite tough.

A Hard Decision
Talley also had to decide whether he wanted to remove the engine fully or keep the ability to drive the bus. He had always wanted to explore the nation by bus, so he decided to repair the engine. It was just something more he had to learn along the road.
