Apparel manufacturer Woolrich has claimed that its products were “Made in the U.S.A.” until it finally closed the American mill. It shut down production despite having 1,500 staff members since the factory could not turn a profit. This is the reason the company now outsources its manufacturing to Romania, Vietnam, and China. Even though it has a headquarters in America, the main HQ has been in London ever since it merged with a European manufacturer called W.P. Lavori. In 2016, the company became known as Woolrich International.

This knife and tool company is owned by the Sherman Tool Group in Portland, Oregon. Tim Leatherman and Steve Berliner founded the company in 1983. They had a simple idea behind the business. They just wanted a pair of knives that they could take with them anywhere. It is comforting to know that the products have a warranty that is good for 25 years. Commercial and non-commercial consumers both use the Leatherman. On top of that, both outdoor and indoor workers are fans of the product. Leatherman has the patent for this knife, which explains his millionaire status.
