This country is on the list twice because even if Americans can travel quite easily without a visa, one of the locations which do require a visa is China. Tourists are required to apply for a visa at the Chinese consulate which corresponds with their state in the U.S. American citizens traveling for tourism or business are commonly issued multiple-entry visas which last for 10 years.
