An Important Message
Once the babies were finally delivered, Allen and the couple went back their separate ways. She returned home to spend her recovery period there. She and her husband had also purchased a new home. After a month, Allen and her family were about to move into their new house when she received a text message from the mother of the babies. There was a picture of the twins along with a skeptical message. In an interview with the New York Post, Allen explained that the mother asked, “Have you thought about why they are different?” and “They are not the same, right?”

In the weeks that followed, the babies went under DNA testing and the results of their tests were beyond belief. It seems that the twins were in fact not twins at all. One was Allen and her husband’s biological child. The embryos of the twins had different gestational ages. This rare even was called superfetation. It is a process where the woman continues to ovulate while pregnant. You read that right. Allen conceived another human while an embryo was already implanted inside her. No one expected things to turn this way.
