The Bearer of Bad News
After finding out the dangers that pregnancy could bring to her health, Nicole returned home with a heavy heart. Kevin instantly realized that something wasn’t right when he came home. He described, “I got home from work and Nicole had that look on her face like something was wrong and I’m never going to forget it. I said, ‘What’s wrong?’ and she said, ‘The doctor doesn’t think we can have children.’ And you know, nobody wants to hear that.” He understood when Nicole further explained the risks of a pregnancy.

A Risky Pregnancy
It was difficult to think about the fact that it was possible for her to have a child but the pregnancy would be dangerous for her and the baby. Nicole said, “I was able to conceive, but I wouldn’t be able to have a healthy pregnancy. And it would result in death of myself or the baby.” Obviously, carrying a child would be too dangerous for Nicole. The only choice they have left was to look for a different way to fulfil the dream that they had.
