After figuring out why they found mercury there, they later realized that it was used as a treatment for diseases 500 years ago. For them, it was like looking back in time, and the crew knew that they have to call the archaeologists for them to take over the job. They stopped mining for diamonds and started mining for pieces of history that were thought to be lost.
