Well Equipped
The Fire department has made sure that it is well equipped for any scenario it can confront and ensures that nothing but the best equipment is available for use at all times. The CSFD has 22 engine companies, 11 brush trucks, 6 trucks, three medical teams, a hazmat team, a heavy hazmat team, a truck for air supply, a de-contaminating hazardous substances vehicle, and a hose car. They are all ready to be used when needed.

As usual, the Colorado Springs Fire Department people did not think of the day as unusual and viewed it as mundane. However, they didn’t know that they were at an unusual meeting by the end of the day.
