In the past, they only ever called it the “Mummified Dog.” At last, he was given an official name: Stuckie. They decided on it after holding a naming contest! Some of the other popular contenders include “Dogwood” and “Chipper.” In the end, Stuckie came out the victor.

Someone made the comment that the trunk coffin looked like the “pegan logs” you can buy in Stuckey shops. The museum ended up changing the spelling to prevent any problems with the trademark. It was a great idea since it saved them millions of dollars!
