Before they delved deeper into more difficult matters, the doting mother welcomes Jaden to the show. Jada then tells her son, “You’re our special guest today.” After that, Adrienne informs the Red Table viewers that her grandson is “just in from Japan.” Jaden then says, “I’m so glad to be back.” At the time, he was probably unaware that the conversation would get very serious later in the day.

Adrienne is the one who gets the ball rolling by talking about how different the upbringing of Jaden and Willow had been to the way she raised Jada. In the video, she also says, “We didn’t give kids a whole lot of choice… I felt like you guys had too much say over your own lives.” However, this revelation of hers is met with laughter from both Jaden and Willow. The kids can’t seem to believe what they just heard!
