Who Could Have Fit The Role
Jane Jenkins, the casting director of the film “The Princess Bride,” was trying to look for a good giant that would fit perfectly the role. She searched for every tall person that she passed in the streets of Los Angeles. There were numbers of other contenders, but the producers wanted Andre to fulfill the role. But, due to the hectic schedules of Andre, he was booked to fly in Japan while they were conducting the rehearsals. Fate came in, his match was canceled, and Andre made it to meet Jenkins.

As mentioned a while ago, Andre always farts. Co-star Cary Elwes had a story which happened on the 30th-anniversary reunion of the cast of “The Princess Bride”, it was the first day of filming, and all the casts were so comfortable with each other already and that Andre let out a nearly 20-second count of fart which can be heard even three counties away. Nobody said anything except Rob who told Andre “Are you okay, Andre?” Andre then replied, “I am now boss”.
