Manhattan (1979)
Woody Allen indeed abandoned his longtime partner Mia Farrow to marry one of her adopted children, who was approximately 30 years his junior. Allen has also been accused of abusing his and Farrow’s five-year-old daughter Dylan. To summarize, a picture starring Allen as a middle-aged guy courting a teenager, as is the central premise of Manhattan, would never, ever be filmed today.

The Crying Game (1992)
The Crying Game sparked outrage in 1992 due to the “shocking” revelation that Dil was transgender, which occurs approximately halfway through the film. Another character is first disgusted and hits Dil in the face before puking in reaction. That situation would not be acceptable today.
