Talley is 6’6″, but the inside of the bus from floor to ceiling is 6’1″, which means he’d have to make major structural alterations. That was an unexpected assignment, but Talley was determined to find a solution. He turned to YouTube instructions and calculated that he would have to lift the ceiling practically.

Talley had to raise the ceiling since he was so tall and wanted more space to live comfortably on the bus. He sliced the roof in half in two places with the aid of several pals. That was terrifying because they nearly wrecked the bus, but it was the only thing they could do.

Talley had bespoke aluminum sleeves manufactured to replace the original ceiling, which increased the height of the bus by 20 inches. Talley initially planned to increase his size by 24 inches, but his pals thought it was too ambitious and persuaded him out of the extra four inches.
