Rosalynd Harris and Jason White were finally caught up with what they had been through since their fateful encounter. While they were talking, the two agreed that there was a significant misunderstanding that most people had upon reading the story.

The majority had started to interpret the story in a way in which neither Rosalynd Harris nor Jason White agreed to. The waitress mentioned that she honestly wished that people did not interpret the act of kindness as “this white guy helping this black girl,” and that the generous gesture was because of love and compassion. Jason agreed to her statement and said that it was not really about him or Rosalynd. The dentist just wanted to make an example for everyone that they should “stop and think a little bit before they judge people – on all sides.”
