The Card Was Declined
The man passed through the terminal back to Alicia and tried to be calm when he was holding his breath. However, the man knew what would happen in the next few minutes. His card was declined by a system that made the man upset and you can see all over his face that he was also angry. He put his hand in her pocket when she kindly asked him if he had another way to pay for the item. This was the start of a strange interaction between her suspicious customer.

The suspicious man told Alicia that he had no other way to pay for the item that he was bargaining. He had no cash or other cards that can be used to pay. She gently asked him to return the shoes where it should be, and the man followed her request. After he returned the item, she knew that he was angry because of the way he walked out of the store. Even though she felt sorry for the man, she still could not give the pair of shoes because this was not a charity store and she was doing her job. However, she did not know that she would see this man again and he would not be alone this time.
