If you saw someone do something or say something, did you ever wonder what on Earth their mind was going through? Now and then, we all have our slip-ups where we embarrass ourselves with our actions. If we didn’t, we wouldn’t be human. Not everyone, though, is quite as clueless as these individuals were. They have left others completely dumbfounded, from mistaking their finger for a pickle to forgetting that New York is still in America. Unfortunately for them, on the internet, their embarrassment is now forever preserved.
The look on the face of that teacher says it all. She may have thought that this student had the answer to this complicated-looking equation, but it’s clear that she doesn’t understand mathematics as much as she initially thought.
She believes that the solution to the problem was her calculator, saying, “syntax error,” she may struggle in this man’s class. We can only wonder how he later broke the news that her answer was nothing more than a calculator error.
Draining the battery
We get what this person has been trying to do here, but their plan is wrong. It seems they are trying to charge a solar-powered battery pack on their smartphone. However, using his flashlight to charge the solar-powered pack, they drain their phone’s battery power.
It will use more energy than it gets back in return, so all they do is drain the battery faster. What’s more, the phone isn’t even plugged in, so there’s no way it could be charged.
Many couples like to coordinate their costumes when it comes to Halloween because they think it’s super cute. If you’re going to do that, though, it’s probably a good idea to be familiar with who you dress up as.
These two, namely the relationship they share, may have benefited from learning a little more about Superman and Supergirl. Although their titles might make it look like they’re in a relationship, they’re cousins, actually. Before they began kissing, this couple should probably have been thinking about that.
When you see somebody advertising a product that you desperately want, it is great. If you’re not quick enough to take them up on their offer, though, before you have a chance to buy it, they might sell it to someone else.
Obviously, that’s what happened here, not that the buyer seemed to understand that. They continued to offer the seller money, even though they made it clear that the TV was gone. They might have thought that they were trying to haggle for more money.
Who’s the mother?
If a woman is unfaithful and then becomes pregnant, the question of which man is the baby’s father is always there. The best way to answer that is typically a paternity test, although whether the outcome helps or hinders the situation depends on the individuals involved.
Since the same situation can not happen the other way around, it is just the prospective parents who need to take these tests. Why? Well, we’re pretty sure that a woman will remember whether or not she actually gave birth to a baby.
Switch the labels
If you want your tea bags and coffee granules to be stored somewhere, you can buy plenty of nice pots that will get the job done. Many of them even have it written on them what they’re for, so you never have to worry about trying to remember which one is which.
However, for some reason, this person’s mother wasn’t happy about it, so she decided to switch the labels. We don’t know why, but we’re pretty sure the woman had her reasons for that.
It’s in here somewhere.
When you think that you’ve lost something, it’s never fun. You start to search to find it, only to realize the whole time it was in your hand or pocket. With her friend’s phone, this person had a scenario like that, although it seems she was worrying about nothing.
She thought she’d taken it by accident, so she texted her friend to let her know. The fact that she messaged her friend and got a reply, though, should have been a huge giveaway as to where the phone actually was.
They have your face
Although it’s great that nowadays we have all of this technology, it’s hard not to be wary of some of it. You never know where your information will end up, so some people are reluctant to use stuff like facial recognition.
The government obviously does not need people to use this software to have records of their faces, as this person pointed out. For decades now, they’ve been getting this information from driver licenses, and no-one has ever tried to stop them from being a thing.
Searching for diabetic fathers
On dating apps, you see all sorts of profiles. Some of them are bound to catch your eye, but others will probably put you off. This one would probably leave many people, thanks to the last line, scratching their heads.
We’re going to assume that this was a case of not being 100% accurate with Google Translate because we think they mean sugar daddy. We’ve never heard anyone say they need a “Diabetic Father” of their own, so we can only assume that what they wanted was lost in translation.
Act first, think later.
Basically, the world revolves around money, so you’re bound to panic when it looks like your own is being stolen. The last thing anyone wants is for a stranger to drain their bank account, which is why, as soon as they notice any suspicious activity, people tend to cancel their cards.
Needless to say, it seems to this individual that they may have been too quick to freak out. They did not stop thinking that the transactions taking place in Europe were their own and not someone else’s doing.
Aunt or uncle?
When you find out that your sibling is expecting a child, it is usually an exciting time. If you’re someone who loves children, then it’s probably something to be enthusiastic about to think of becoming an aunt or uncle.
Even so, it seems like this individual does not quite understand how the whole thing works. They seem to be under the impression that the gender of the baby will decide if they are an aunt or an uncle. We hope that before the child was born, they realized their mistake.
United by music
We have to say that we understand where this person is coming from. They were probably thinking along the lines of whether two people were listening at the same moment to the same music on something like iTunes or Spotify.
It would definitely be a bizarre coincidence if that were to happen. They still probably should have remembered, though, that radio is a thing and that it’s something that thousands of people are always tuning in to.
Four kids on the way
Taking multiple tests is generally a good idea if you’re not sure you’re pregnant. The first one could come back as a false positive or false negative, so having a backup always helps.
Apparently, this person provided four tests for their friend to ensure that she knew whether she was pregnant. Unfortunately, it did not exactly ease her mind to receive four positive ones. How did her friend know that she would think that each test represented another baby?
When you grow up, your body goes through a lot of changes. Among other things, you get taller and grow more hair on your body. One thing that doesn’t happen, though, is that you become waterproof all of a sudden.
As wonderful as that would be, you’re just as vulnerable to water when you become an adult as you were before. With that in mind, despite being “grown,” we don’t know why this person thought it was stupid for people to continue using umbrellas. It’s not like they’re going to be useless with age.
It’s called a library.
Reading is a fundamental skill that you need, and you should never stop at any point in your life. It’s a good idea to start collecting books and going through them as soon as you’re old enough to read.
Parents obviously can’t afford to keep buying new ones for their children, especially if they zoom through them every few days. That’s why we have libraries that let people borrow books, read books, and then give new ones back to them. Apparently, this person isn’t familiar with that concept.
Where are the jokes?
Animated shows like ‘Family Guy’ have some weird jokes, so it was not necessarily that far-fetched to think that the characters speaking in Spanish were one big gag. This was not, unfortunately, the program’s attempt at humor. This individual had managed to switch the language from English to Spanish on their remote.
The only joke that was pulled was the one for which they were solely responsible. Before the episode ended, at least they realized their mistake, so they didn’t sit there all the time waiting for the punchline.
When you text a wrong phone number, it’s always going to be awkward. Sometimes it happens because another individual has deliberately given you fake digits. Other times, it’s just because some of the numbers have been mixed up and wrongly typed.
Whatever the case, for both parties involved, it can be a pretty embarrassing situation. By failing to understand that they weren’t texting who they thought they were, this person didn’t seem to be helping things that matter. It took a while for it to sink in that they were corresponding with a stranger.
At the 2020 Academy Awards, the black comedy thriller ‘Parasite’ was one of the big winners, taking home awards for best picture, best director, best foreign-language film, and best original screenplay.
One of the most notable moments for the director at the ceremony was not just the wins but also why he chose to film his film in Korean. We can’t be certain, but we think there may have been something to do with every detail of the Korean picture.
We do agree, at a glance, that this shirt looks like something is missing. However, if you actually read what it says, you will realize there’s a good reason for that. If there are two kinds of people in this world, those who can extrapolate from incomplete data …
The other has to be those who can’t do that, then. Clearly, since it was not possible to interpret the rest of their teacher’s shirt from the incomplete data is presented, those two classmates fit into the latter category.
Lions and panthers
You shouldn’t need to question what kind of animal they are when a character has a name like Pink Panther. Literally, the clue is in the name. It appears, even then, that this individual missed that detail and thought they were a lion.
They still seemed adamant that lions were somehow involved even when somebody cleared up their confusion. They also assumed that the animal would be pink, which implies that they believed real-life lions were also pink. Obviously, this individual had never been on a safari before.
They don’t need no man.
Some people may find it hard to understand, but not every woman gets married to a man. Some of them prefer to marry women, as was the case with Lauren Morelli and Samira Wiley.
In 2017, the pair tied the knot back, but it seems some individuals were confused about what went down. On the same day, one social media user seemed to think that the duo had just gotten married and wondered if their husbands had pictures. There weren’t, obviously.
An American celebration
For many Americans, July 4 is a significant day because it is the nation’s anniversary of gaining independence from the British. Many individuals have the day off work and school to celebrate, which many appreciate name=”top-ad”]
Given that it’s a U.S. holiday, people don’t acknowledge July 4 as a special day in other parts of the world. However, this person seemed to believe that everyone else would be as happy with their independence as the rest of the United States.
The money came from somewhere.
Due to the global crisis, 2020 hasn’t been a great year for most people. Many Americans struggled to keep their jobs, and the $1,200 stimulus check was the only thing some of them had to keep them going.
This is, obviously, provided by the government and not funded by one individual. However, some people think that the President paid out of his own pocket for all this. Now we can tell you that this was definitely not true.
The avocados keep coming.
Going outside and finding an avocado in your yard must be somewhat weird. You would surely be stumped with no idea how it got there. It would probably drive you a little crazy for it to happen again and again. Where do they keep coming from?
Is someone throwing them in the yard? Why would they do that? Fortunately, they eventually found the answers they were searching for this individual to continue to happen. The entire time, there was an avocado tree in their yard.
We already use them
These voters think of having Arabic numerals in the American education system very clear from this poll. These 7,300 or so people didn’t realize that they’re part of the curriculum already.
The numbers we know as zero to nine are Arabic numerals. English-speaking schools use them all the time in mathematics; people don’t know that this is their name. The voters were obviously quick to judge something before they actually thought about it.
In the Middle Ages
Over the years, technology has come a long way. We understand more about both the world around us and our own bodies with each development. Obviously, things such as x-ray machines make it easier to diagnose existing health problems and treat them.
That said, just because people didn’t have things like this back in the Middle Ages, it doesn’t mean they were completely oblivious. They knew at least what skeletons looked like because there was no shortage of people passing away. The average life expectancy was only around 31 back then.
How cakes work
Those who know how to work with birthday cakes and cakes, in general, know that you should share them with other people. Although the dessert might taste so good that you could eat it all, you know that afterward, doing so will make you feel incredibly sick.
Then again, why don’t you want to give away some of your cake to the people you care about? To celebrate the occasion, part of the joy of having a birthday is surrounded by the ones you love the most.
It’s just Spanish
We value individuals who, when it comes to racism, have zero-tolerance. However, it’s probably best to check whether something is racist or not before you jump to conclusions and call someone out.
They might have realized that this eyeliner named the product’s color in English, Spanish, and French if they were familiar with other languages. Maybelline did not call the eyeliner offensive; they just made it clear about their coloring to people from different parts of the globe.
Figuring out fractions
You want to get as much food as you can at the best price when you go to a restaurant. Because you’re getting more bang for your buck, it’s the most efficient way to eat. Unfortunately, when fractions are involved, not everyone understands what is and isn’t good value for money.
By offering a bigger burger at a lower price, A&W apparently attempted to compete against McDonald’s. Other than that, because consumers felt that ⅓ was smaller than ¼, their efforts were unlikely to succeed.
Adjusting the recipe
Don’t believe that people would really believe that ¼ is greater than ⅓? This review should clarify that sometimes it does happen. This person said they loved the recipe, but because their husbands are not fans of sweet stuff, they adjusted.
They thought it was too much to add ¼ cup of sugar, so instead, they “only added ⅓.” Since they said it was “perfect for us,” their husband, after all, was obviously not that averse to a bit of sugar.
Fake ID fail
It is never a good idea to use a fake ID. For a reason, certain things are age-restricted, and getting caught trying to use a fake ID will never end well for you. Of course, some people are not bothered by the risk and believe it is worth the potential payoff.
In the past, many of them got away with it because their ID looked legitimate. Even so, this guy wasn’t one of them because he didn’t see the problem with using a picture with his girlfriend as his photo.
A satirical conspiracy
At face value online, you can’t trust everything you see. Some people post things that they know are not just true to rile up their family and friends. Some people don’t realize that something is satirical or contains misinformation, and they believe it’s a fact.
The latter happened to this user, thinking that they had found proof that people were legitimately hiring professional protesters. Clearly, there was no reading of the part that stated that the website was satire, and so nothing that was actually said was legitimate.
Check the temperature
It can be a real pain to get your landlord to help out with a problem sometimes. While some of them want you to be as comfortable in their property as possible, others are only willing when they absolutely have to solve your problems.
Whichever category this landlord falls into, we’re not sure, but they certainly don’t seem to be the most helpful person in the world. They wanted photos that proved this person’s water was not hot, even though there was no way for the tenant to do that.
A new kind of treatment
We know that TV shows in real life aren’t always 100 % accurate. A few details here and there change even the programs that are based on historical events. Nevertheless, while we may not require shows to be entirely true to life, there are certain things that we expect to see.
If a program has scenes in a hospital, we will hope that the equipment shown was all used correctly. Obviously, with this patient hooked up to machines in many strange places, that did not happen here. Was that intentional?
It looks like a pickle.
It’s always a hassle to be in a jar down to the last few pickles. It’s more of an effort to get them out because you can’t pull them out easily because they’re so far down.
If you try to get something that’s not even there, of course, then you’re bound to have a lot of difficulties. Apparently, this individual spent a good 30 seconds trying to grab a pickle, only to realize that their pinky beneath the jar was what they were looking at.
We don’t know what people are teaching in geography classes at the moment, but we’re a little worried that someone else might think that New York is not in America. Obviously, when they learned about the States, this person did not bother to listen; otherwise, they would have realized their mistake.
What made it all the more frustrating is that they were trying to call someone else stupid for correcting them. The icing on the cake is simply the fact that they referred to geography as geology.
A vaccination education
It’s a controversial view to be anti-vaccination, so it’s a good idea to have reasons to back up your point if you’re going to take that stance. What is not a wise idea is to say that instead of vaccinations, children should have vaccinations.
Do individuals really not know what these shots really are? They contain a safe amount of the virus so that people’s bodies can learn to protect themselves from it. Let’s hope this person knows what vaccines are now; they will no longer have a problem.
The Earth’s biggest planet
Have you ever been searching for anything from Google and challenging any of the anticipated results that come back? It’s pretty disturbing when they come up because, particularly when they’re things like that, they’re so commonly searched for.
The last time we checked, the biggest planet on Earth was the Earth itself because, you know, it is the planet. You can’t have a planet on top of another planet. They’re not like fast-food chains popping up around the world in thousands of places.
That’s not how it works.
Adoptions are an excellent way to help keep the animals safe, with a surprising amount of them being endangered. Basically, you pay money to provide them with the help they need, and you get daily updates on how they’re doing in exchange.
You’re not, as the girlfriend of this individual apparently thought, necessarily having the animal as a pet. Getting them out of their natural habitat not only endangers them, but some of the animals you can adopt are definitely not safe to have around the house.
You have a choice
If you’re expecting a baby, then you’re likely to have played an active role in getting pregnant. Unless you did something beforehand to make it appear, a child doesn’t just start developing inside you. With that in mind, deciding who will become the father of your child is not difficult.
If you’re not sleeping with anyone, they can’t make you a baby. Obviously, this person didn’t know that, or maybe they just regretted the guy they wanted to get down and dirty with all those months ago.
Surveillance is everywhere
People have become more and more concerned about their privacy as technology has become more advanced. This is completely rational, and it’s a nice thing to worry about. After all, it doesn’t take too much time to use a proxy or cover up your webcam. But there are some worries that, to put it plainly, are a little unfounded.
For example, this individual was worried that the government would have access to their faces. They didn’t know much about passports, driver’s licenses, IDs, and many other things that had already done that for them. Big Brother indeed.
Five wilted leaves of cabbage for brains
Few insults on the Internet are quite as scathing as this person telling another Twitter user that their brain is made up of five wilted cabbage leaves. That’s completely savage. But we’re on their side, to be honest.
It seems very well-founded, as rude as their insult was. It is absolutely absurd to assume that the victims of 9/11, which was undeniably a large-scale disaster, are equivalent to those during the era of American slavery. One happened in the span of a day; the other occurred in the course of a century or so.
Get your facts straight.
To claim that during the coronavirus pandemic, it has been difficult to discern the most factual knowledge, we have access to is not precisely a controversial statement. The pandemic has been politicized to the point that there is an agenda on both sides, and what is being said is hard to parse through.
However, one thing that most individuals can be assured of that is not true is that corona beer causes coronavirus. They are totally irrelevant. Long before COVID-19, Corona was already a word. Not everything on the surface is as it seems. Brown cows don’t make chocolate milk.
Falling for a classic trick
Let us give you a bit of advice real quick: be wary of everyone on the Internet. Yes, we mean everyone. Even your mom on Facebook. She may have been hacked as well, and her request for Venmo for $1000 might seem odd, but it really is.
People can hide behind a screen and a layer of digital anonymity on the Internet, allowing them to commit nefarious deeds. If only we could say these people who have fallen for this little trick of social security. Here’s hoping that this is just ironic.
Ya didn’t think that one through, huh?
At first glance, this image can be just a tiny bit confusing. Please let us enlighten you if you have no idea what is going on. This photo of a man who didn’t really think things through while he bought a watermelon at a train stop.
He thought to himself, “Oh, yummy, a watermelon! I want one!” What he didn’t – but should have – thought was, “Wow, that thing is way too big to hold inside the train.” Instead, the entire time he rode, when he bought it, he had to keep it outside his train’s window bars.
Realizing their own mistake
Perhaps the most humiliating faults you did are not pointed out by someone else. Sometimes it’s only you who notices. In our minds, it would just be best to get rid of the evidence at that point. Act as you knew all along. Say you were joking. Or delete your original comment at the very least.
However, this person only cemented her spot in the Clueless Hall of Fame by making a second statement. They wondered why this guy had two pictures of each fist separately … until they realized he couldn’t take a picture of both at the same time.
A great deal on this TV
Do yourself a favor and browse through those online marketplaces if you’re ever looking for a laugh. It’s up to you, eBay, Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace! But no matter what you pick, if you look long enough, you’re bound to find some fun things. Let’s check this one out as an example.
This guy put up a completely damaged TV for $20. Yeah, that’s a great price for a giant TV, but who really wants a TV with a big dead spot in the middle? The best part, however, is how they spelled watchable: “watch a bowl.” Classic.
Two times in a row
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. There’s a reason for that saying. If anyone can get you twice with the same trick, well, you need to take a long, hard look at yourself. No, gullible wasn’t written on the ceiling then, and guess what? It still isn’t now.
However, some people never learn. This ruthless Twitter user managed to fool someone with a trick that fooled them when they were little. The worst part is they had JUST spoken about how they thought it was fake.
There are levels to stupidity
This cursory overview of people on the Internet being less than smart has really drawn our attention to something: there are stupidity levels. Some people make typos and say dumb things. Some people appear to be living in very different environments than most of us.
In particular, this person seems to think that the Titanic was a fully fictitious occurrence that never really happened. It’s almost as if they were reacting to their own question of “how dumb can you be?” As the person in the comments notes, it’s best if they’re kidding. But they probably aren’t.
A stunning evening sun
We don’t want to fault this person completely. There are some quite unusual meteorological phenomena, quite frankly, that can make the sky look pretty strange, and that includes the sun. Did you know that on this planet, there are places where the three suns appear to be?
Pretty insane, huh? With this photo of what just turned out to be its own ceiling light, this Tumblr user thought they had discovered a brand new sky oddity. Ah well. They realized their own mistake, at least. For most people on this list, that’s more than can be said.
Quite a bold statement
People love times and dates that are meaningful. We all remember people wishing at 11:11 during school, but it isn’t just limited to that. For instance, Friday the 13th is another date people freak out about and assign meaning to.
Dates or times with repeated numbers are always a favorite, and at 20:20:20 2020, this person understandably freaked out, thinking that it was the only time in our lives that it would happen. What they had forgotten was that they had 8:20:20 every day, AKA 20:20:20. In fact, each day has two!
Don’t push yourself
Ah, where to start with this one, as well. Before realizing that they got the wrong ones, this clueless person named Blake bought some numbers for their house. Nothing is wrong with that; we’ve all made similar mistakes in the past.
What’s really funny, though, is that they didn’t realize they just had the numbers in the wrong order. We really have no clue how they didn’t notice this. But the response of this individual to them is just utterly hilarious. They said, “Don’t push yourself.” We agree. Wouldn’t wanna hurt that brain, Einstein.
Your video is silent
As funny as their mistakes may be, parents who don’t really understand modern technology are hard to blame. We, young people, have been growing up with it all our lives, and when you’re used to rotating phones or whatever older people used to use, it’s a lot harder to adapt to it.
We truly don’t know. Anyway, in response to a text about a cupcake, this son sent his mom a .gif reaction, and the mom sent back a hilariously innocent text. She didn’t get why there was no noise in the .gif.
She just doesn’t get it
In our opinion, people who really don’t understand what’s going on after texting the wrong number are a lost cause. We have no idea how to explain it to them if they don’t get that someone saying “the wrong number” means that they actually texted the wrong PERSON.
You called the wrong number, ~*KIMBER*~ (by the way, cute signature), so yes, the same number is going to be the one you’re going to text later on. How can we be clearer about this? A DIFFERENT number belonging to the wrong PERSON may have been used. Does that clear it up?
